Do you work on both renovations and new builds?

Yes - I cover all facets of Interior Design for both new builds and renovations, no job is too big or too small, and I’m open to discussing different services I can provide, depending on your needs.

At what stage of my project should I bring in an Interior Designer?

The earlier the better - for the best outcome, I recommend engaging an interior designer in the early stages of your project, before confirming your concept plans. This will provide you with the opportunity to do a deep dive into your design, identify anything that’s not going to work, and give you the opportunity to make changes, especially if the designer comes up with an exciting idea you hadn’t thought of already. Engaging a designer early, ensures you avoid costly mistakes, and ensures you are on track with your budget.

Will I be involved in decision-making, or do you take care of everything?

At the end of the day, it’s YOUR project, and my role is to support and provide guidance, not to take decision making authority away from you. My job is to listen and ensure I understand your needs, and make recommendations that are going to be to your taste, and work for you and your family. I like to present you with a comprehensive and well thought out design plan, which hopefully you will love and be happy to approve straight away.

Is it expensive to work with a designer?

Honestly, it can be more expensive not to. If you’re planning to purchase a large amount of furniture and decor for your home, hiring a designer can actually save you money, and give you access to preferential pricing, which often more than covers the cost of design fees, not to mention freeing up your valuable time - win win. It can also prevent expensive mistakes or reworks, working with an experienced designer who will ensure everything is going to work in both a practical and aesthetic sense.

What if I don’t like something you’ve suggested?

Then just say so! I encourage you to speak up, my feelings will never be hurt and I don’t offend easily, and my priority is creating a home for YOU to love, and designing to my clients taste is something I always strive to achieve.

Do you handle purchasing and procurement?

Yes - if you allow me to handle all of your purchasing, I will be able to offer you discounts on most products. I do include a small mark up on most items I source, however I can usually still offer you a price that is better than you would be able to get yourself as a retail customer. For the best outcome, I like to purchase all items, and install them in one go to provide a transformative experience, and offer you tips on styling and presentation in the process.
